Le site exceptionnel du château de Saint-Martin

Les bulles de Chrysalide sont installées du 15 mars au 15 novembre autour du château Saint-Martin à Nérac, patrimoine de l’Albret au coeur d’un charmant vallon de Gascogne. Idéalement situé dans la ville d’Henri IV et de la reine Margot, le château de Saint-Martin présente des qualités exceptionnelles tant au point de vue environnemental qu’historique.

Valoriser l’ancienne commanderie du XVIème siècle

Demeure à l’abandon appartenant à la famille de Blaÿ, le château Saint-Martin fut une commanderie au XVIème siècle, un lieu fermé, un bâtiment défensif. Au fil des siècles, ce site exceptionnel s’est transformé, surtout au XVIIIème siècle, puis il fut pillé.

A côté du château, subsistent les écuries et les chais où autrefois étaient fabriqués le vin et l’armagnac.

Depuis 2016, Jean-Baptiste et Ségolène de Blaÿ ont entrepris le projet colossal de restaurer et de revaloriser la maison d’enfance du père de Jean-Baptiste, sauf que…le constat de départ est rude: plus de toit, plus de plancher, plus de fenêtres, bref plus rien ! Cette commanderie du XVIème siècle a été complètement abandonnée à la végétation. Le chantier s’annonçait titanesque!

Surgit alors l’idée de créer une activité respectueuse du lieu qui pourrait financer la réhabilitation de l’édifice. Ainsi sont nées les bulles de Chrysalide…

Une bulle d’écotourisme

100% recyclables, les bulles présentent l’avantage de ne laisser aucune trace environnementale une fois dégonflées. La plateforme en bois quant à elle, se démonte très facilement.

Cette activité d’hébergement écotouristique garantit le respect optimal de la faune, de la flore et de l’écosystème du parc du château de Saint-Martin.

Les bulles, transparentes, s’intègrent parfaitement et en toute discrétion au site naturel, au milieu des 7 ha de chênes multi-centenaires érigés face au coteau.
